Part-Time Server at Brewpub

About the role

Wicked Weed Brewing is looking for enthusiastic part‑time servers to join its brewpub team in Asheville. You will be the front‑line host for guests, sharing knowledge of the brewery’s beers and menu while delivering friendly, attentive service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests within 45 seconds, answer questions, and promote menu and beer specials.
• Take food and beverage orders, deliver items promptly, and follow the two‑minute/two‑bite check‑back rule.
• Accurately handle cash, credit transactions, and POS system entries.
• Serve alcohol responsibly, cut off guests when needed, and report VIP or special requests to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized service station and restock supplies throughout the shift.
• Participate in pre‑shift meetings, opening setup, and closing duties.

Required profile

• Team‑oriented with strong responsibility and dependability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Efficient money‑handling and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Initiative, proactive attitude, and friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Passion for craft beer and willingness to learn detailed product knowledge.
• Problem‑solving ability and basic reading/writing proficiency.

Required skills

• POS system experience.
• Accurate cash handling.
• Verification of IDs for alcohol service.
• Cicerone Beer Server certification (preferred).
