Part-Time Security Officer - Patrol & Incident Logging

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, offers a part-time Security Officer position in Atlanta, GA focused on patrol and incident logging. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts through a claim-a-shift program, building toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $20.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials and stay aware of activity at the financial institution location.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, parking areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents and unusual conditions accurately and share them with site contacts and leadership.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local law.

Preferred qualifications

• CPR certification, and preferably CPR and First Aid certification.
• Access control and badge experience.
