Part-Time Security Officer - Patrol Coordination

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, offers a part-time Security Officer position in Mira Loma, California. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to pick up extra shifts through a claim-a-shift program. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

The position is built around a fixed shift commitment (an "anchor shift") at a designated site, requiring a six-month commitment. Afterward, you can choose to work part-time hours this week and full-time the next, or scale back when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points and perimeter to spot unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry, directing visitors and drivers, and keeping access-control documentation up to date.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports and share observations, incidents and security concerns with site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
