Part-Time Security Officer - Front Desk

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer Front Desk in Chamblee, GA, to work at a government public health facility. The officer welcomes visitors, manages access and provides customer service while monitoring entry activity and maintaining a secure environment. The schedule is flexible, with day shifts on Monday (11:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and Wednesday (6:30 AM - 5:45 PM).

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff and vendors while following site procedures and security policies.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials and direct people to the right offices or service areas.
• Monitor entry activity, access control systems, cameras, alarms and communication equipment, and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, visitor concerns, medical emergencies and other critical situations, notifying the right personnel and emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports and other required documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Preferred: customer service experience and comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.
