Part-Time Security Officer (Check-In)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, offers a part-time Security Officer position in Dakota City, Nebraska, at a food and beverage production location. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to pick up extra shifts through a claim-a-shift program. The pay rate is $20.31 per hour, with day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, visitor authorization, delivery appointments and vehicle entry requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor and delivery records, issue and collect access credentials, and report access concerns to site contacts.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, the facility perimeter and other assigned locations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local law.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
