Part-Time Russian Language Teacher

About the role

The Department of Operational Support is seeking qualified part‑time Russian language teachers to deliver courses for UN staff. Teachers will work either onsite in New York or remotely, providing instruction, assessment, and feedback throughout the language learning term.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate scheduled Russian language lessons.
• Correct assignments and homework promptly.
• Monitor student progress and suggest weekly learning strategies.
• Provide group and individual feedback, administer tests, and grade evaluations.
• Deliver final student evaluations and attendance reports at the end of each term.
• Participate in language‑project development, reporting progress and integrating supervisor feedback.

Required profile

• Fluent in Russian with strong command of teaching methodologies.
• Available to work on a part‑time, contract basis.
• Ability to work independently, either onsite in New York or remotely.
• Willingness to contribute to language‑course design and material development as needed.
