About the role

Ensemble Schools is looking for a fun, experienced piano instructor to teach part‑time at the Natomas School of Music in Sacramento. The role is on‑site and involves substituting for regular teachers and potentially taking on regular students as demand allows.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide in‑person piano instruction to students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Substitute for regular teachers on an as‑needed basis and maintain consistency in scheduling when possible.
  • Optionally teach additional instruments if qualified.

Required profile

  • Degree in performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
  • Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
  • Reliable transportation, punctuality, and ability to pass a background check.

Required skills

  • Strong piano performance background.
  • Ability to teach music theory and technique.
