Part-Time Monitor – Parks & Recreation

About the role

The City of Jeffersonville is seeking a reliable part‑time Monitor to support its Parks & Recreation facilities. You will welcome guests, oversee activities, and help maintain a clean, safe environment across several locations, including the SHEC, Fieldhouse, and Ken Ellis Facility.

Key responsibilities

• Admit guests, collect fees, and ensure compliance with safety rules.
• Set up facilities for programs, leagues, and events and distribute equipment as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning, trash removal, restroom upkeep, and basic maintenance.
• Assist with youth‑focused programming, after‑school activities, and homework help.
• Manage reservations, collect special‑event fees, and operate concession stands.
• Answer phone inquiries and relay messages accurately.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with youth or adults in recreation, sports, or education settings.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate maturity, and provide excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as schedules vary.
