Part-Time Household Manager (Stamford, CT)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, part‑time Household Manager to support a busy family in Stamford, CT. The role involves creating and maintaining practical organization systems, handling errands, and ensuring the home runs smoothly with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain organization systems for pantry, sports equipment, toys, paperwork and other high‑use areas.
• Coordinate seasonal projects, donation drop‑offs, and deep‑cleaning tasks such as refrigerator and garage organization.
• Manage household inventory, place orders with preferred retailers, and handle returns, dry cleaning and mail.
• Assist with weekly meal planning, grocery list preparation, snack prep and kitchen clean‑up.
• Research, schedule and oversee vendor services and home maintenance projects.
• Schedule routine vehicle maintenance, clean and fuel family cars, and track registration and insurance.
• Perform light tidying, laundry, linen care and occasional backup childcare.

Required profile

• Highly organized with a talent for building intuitive, sustainable systems.
• Proactive, self‑sufficient and able to work independently without constant direction.
• Detail‑oriented, solutions‑focused and comfortable managing multiple projects from start to finish.
• Comfortable around pets and able to navigate a lively household environment.
• Prior experience as a household manager, family assistant or professional organizer.
