Part-Time House Manager – Ann Arbor, MI

About the role

We are seeking a reliable part‑time House Manager to keep our busy, creative household running smoothly. You will handle daily household tasks, support the family’s schedule, and ensure a welcoming, functional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all laundry and linens, including washing, folding, stain‑treating, and restocking supplies.
• Perform daily resets of main living areas, maintain bathroom cleanliness, and organize the kids’ playroom and storage systems.
• Oversee grocery deliveries, subscription services, mail sorting, and general errands such as recycling and returns.
• Prepare weekly snacks, plan and cook 1‑2 family dinners, and keep the kitchen tidy throughout the day.
• Care for two large Bernese Mountain Dogs, including brushing, medication, grooming appointments, and occasional pet‑care during travel.
• Provide administrative support: monitor school calendars, coordinate with a virtual assistant, and assist with content‑creation logistics.

Required profile

• Natural problem‑solver who takes initiative without needing constant direction.
• Warm, grounded, and able to connect with children and extended family members.
• Flexible, receptive to feedback, and capable of bringing own ideas while adapting quickly.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, a bit of beautiful chaos, and large furry dogs.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respects family privacy.

What we offer

• Hourly pay $33–$38, commensurate with experience.
• 25‑30 hours per week (25 hours guaranteed) with a set Mon/Wed/Fri schedule.
