Part-Time House Manager and Personal Assistant

About the role

We are a couple living on a historic farmhouse in Purcellville, VA, seeking a part‑time House Manager and Personal Assistant to keep the home running smoothly. The role is 12–15 hours per week, with flexible blocks across three days, and includes occasional overnight pet‑sitting when we travel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily home resets, light tidying, laundry, and seasonal décor changes to keep the property guest‑ready.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers; attend appointments and oversee work quality.
• Manage pet care for three cats and a bull terrier, including feeding, walking, litter box maintenance, and veterinary appointments.
• Handle household inventory, errands, grocery shopping, mail, and subscription management.
• Maintain vehicle upkeep, schedule maintenance, and track registration and insurance.
• Provide administrative support such as calendar management, receipt tracking, and occasional assistance with other properties.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, proactive individual who can work independently without constant direction.
• Comfortable around cats and a dog, with no allergies to pets.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States and possesses a reliable personal vehicle.
• Willingness to sign a non‑disclosure agreement and maintain a smoke‑free environment.
