Part-Time Front Desk Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Front Desk Security Officer in Omaha, Nebraska, at a logistics and distribution location. The officer welcomes visitors, manages access, monitors activity and supports a professional environment, using computer or tablet systems to keep records and communicate with employees and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Serve visitors, associates, drivers and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and front-desk policies.
• Verify visitor, contractor and delivery credentials, issue visitor passes and keep accurate entry and exit records.
• Answer calls, direct inquiries and communicate with site contacts about arrivals, deliveries and access requests.
• Monitor security systems, report unusual activity and respond calmly to incidents and critical situations.
• Maintain logs and reports, support emergency response when needed and inform leadership and site management.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of security-related experience; customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local law.

Required skills

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet; experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required only for driving positions.
