About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a part‑time forklift operator to join its West Sacramento service center. You will safely move various freight in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long, operating the forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from trailers using a forklift.
- Operate the forklift on a roofed dock while maintaining safety standards.
- Read and follow manifests and interact with computer displays to track shipments.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous forklift experience, preferably in a fast‑paced setting.
- Some experience with less‑than‑truckload (LTL) operations is a plus.

- Forklift operation.
- Computer display interaction for manifest handling.
