Part-Time Food Service Worker

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Food Service Worker to join the Georgia Building Authority. This hourly position involves preparing, cooking, and serving food in a cafeteria or dining environment while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items using specialized kitchen equipment.
• Serve and distribute food to customers, including cashier duties when needed.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
• Follow safe food‑handling procedures and maintain compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with inventory control and basic stock replenishment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of experience in a food‑service setting.
• Ability to work under close supervision and follow oral or written instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States and successful completion of background, motor‑vehicle, and drug screenings.

Required skills

• Safe Serv Certification (preferred).
