Part-Time Family Assistant & House Manager

About the role

We are seeking a reliable part‑time Family Assistant and House Manager to support our active West Newton family of four. The role focuses on transportation, household coordination, meal preparation, and pet care during afternoons on school days.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up two teenage daughters from school and transport them to dance and other extracurricular activities.
• Prepare and provide healthy snacks and meals, grocery shop, and keep the kitchen tidy.
• Maintain shared spaces, manage household checklists, and assist with seasonal clothing swaps and decluttering projects.
• Monitor and restock pantry, pet supplies, and handle errands such as dry cleaning and returns.
• Wash, fold, and organize laundry, especially dance clothing, and keep the laundry area stocked.
• Walk, feed, and coordinate grooming for the family’s Cavapoochon.
• Manage family calendars, schedule appointments, and track household tasks using Google Calendar and shared apps.

Required profile

• Exceptionally reliable, consistent, and accountable.
• Proactive “see it, own it” mindset with strong judgment for prioritizing tasks.
• High emotional intelligence, able to communicate effectively with teenagers and parents.
• Adaptable, coachable, and comfortable working independently without micromanagement.
• Discreet and respectful of household privacy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Calendar and shared household apps.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
• German language skills (optional).

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $33–$37 based on experience.
• Mileage reimbursement for work‑related travel.
