Part-Time Family Assistant – Childcare & Household Support

About the role

We are a close‑knit family of three plus two cats in Eatonville, WA, seeking a warm, organized part‑time assistant to support our almost‑5‑year‑old son and keep our household running smoothly. The role focuses on childcare, routine building, and household logistics during weekday evenings and one Saturday each week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engaged, playful childcare, including school pick‑ups, snack preparation, and after‑school transitions.
• Create and maintain routines and organizational systems for the child’s schedule, belongings, and activities.
• Plan age‑appropriate, screen‑free activities and outings to keep the child active and curious.
• Manage household inventories, restock supplies, handle errands, laundry, and light cleaning.
• Care for two cats, including feeding, outdoor access, and supply management.
• Support family logistics such as vehicle upkeep, seasonal property tasks, and occasional travel planning.

Required profile

• Reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification if not already certified.
• Comfortable with cats, smoke‑free environment, and fragrance‑free preference.
• Extensive background in childcare or education, detail‑oriented, and able to build and maintain household systems.
• Authorized to work in the United States and open to occasional overnight stays or travel support.
