Part-Time Admissions Counselor/Recruiter at Fort Benning

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Columbus Technical College, is seeking a part‑time Admissions Counselor/Recruiter to support military‑connected students at the Fort Benning education center. This role blends outreach, enrollment assistance, and veteran‑benefits coordination to help prospective students navigate their academic pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate enrollment services for military‑connected students and manage recruitment activities such as campus tours, mailings, and social‑media outreach.
• Represent the college at recruitment events on the military installation and develop promotional materials.
• Assist prospective students with admissions, readmissions, and career‑path advisement.
• Serve as the primary contact for Military Tuition Assistance, Credential Assistance, and Veterans Education Benefits.
• Evaluate and enter high‑school, college, and military transcripts into the admissions system.
• Maintain primary office hours at the Fort Moore Education Center and collaborate with academic departments to schedule courses for military students.
• Support the design and execution of special events and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum two years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related role.
• Knowledge of veteran benefits, Military Tuition Assistance, and Credential Assistance programs.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
