Packaging Trainee – Night Shift

About the role

The Packaging Trainee safely and efficiently operates packaging equipment on the night shift at our King William plant, producing cat litter products. The role involves monitoring equipment, troubleshooting, loading materials, and actively participating in risk assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and problem‑solve packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Supply packaging materials, maintain sanitation standards, and load/unload raw and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory data through proper data entry.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, basic repairs, and inspections.
• Monitor production parameters, conduct sampling/testing, and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Keep the work area clean, using downtime to clean equipment and surrounding spaces.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience in a fast‑paced, performance‑measured environment.
