Packaging Line Operator

About the role

The Packaging Line Operator (PLO) supports the distribution packaging function at Devils Backbone Brewing Company. This entry‑level position works fast‑paced shifts, operating can‑filling, keg‑filling and other packaging machinery while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate high‑speed packaging equipment, including kegging and canning lines.
• Perform daily start‑up, clean‑up and basic maintenance on assigned stations.
• Maintain a food‑safe environment through sanitation and quality checks.
• Assist maintenance staff with troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Record production data and help achieve short‑ and long‑term packaging goals.
• Follow all safety protocols and use computer systems for SOPs, SDS sheets and communications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 21 years old.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, especially food or beverage, is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy kegs (up to 200 lb) and lift objects up to 32 lb regularly.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

• Computer proficiency for email, SOPs, SDS sheets and production records.
