Otolaryngologist

About the role

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking an Otolaryngologist to join its team in Boston, MA. As a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, the physician works in an ambulatory setting, practicing medicine autonomously alongside primary care, within a physician-led, value-based care organization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions
• Develop and implement a plan of care, and prescribe medications, exercises and other treatments
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams and maintain continuity of care with outside health and social agencies
• Serve as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists
• Teach and counsel individuals and groups, and participate in the development of health education programs

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited medical school or school of otolaryngology medicine
• Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology
• Active Massachusetts DPH controlled substances registration, or ability to obtain it after hiring
• Active DEA licensure and prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain it after hiring
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on specialty

What we offer

• Compensation generally ranging from $366,500 to $667,000, including base pay and bonus, with benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution
