About the role
The Orthopedic Technician will support the Shackleford Clinic by providing essential clinical assistance to orthopedic providers and patients. This full‑time, day‑shift position is part of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) health system, emphasizing teamwork, patient safety, and high‑quality care.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for orthopedic procedures.
- Assist providers with casting, splinting, and application of orthopedic devices.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with UAMS policies.
- Ensure proper sterilization and inventory of orthopedic supplies.
- Educate patients on post‑procedure care and follow‑up instructions.
Required profile
- Current or former employee of the University of Arkansas System, including student employees or graduate assistants.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
