About the role
The Orthopedic Technician (F9) provides essential support for orthopedic procedures within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Working in a clinical environment, the technician assists surgeons, prepares equipment, and ensures patient safety throughout the care process.
Key responsibilities
- Assist orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff during surgeries and procedures.
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain orthopedic instruments and equipment.
- Transport and position patients safely for orthopedic interventions.
- Document procedural details and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Required profile
- Current University of Arkansas System employee (including student employees and graduate assistants).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical setting with attention to detail.
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to hospital policies.
