Open Rank Professor - Operations and Information Systems (Tenure-Track)

About the role

Abilene Christian University (ACU) is hiring an Open Rank Tenure-Track professor in Operations and Information Systems, starting in Fall 2027. The rank depends on experience and qualifications. The position teaches undergraduate and possibly graduate courses in operations management, information systems, data analytics and/or applied artificial intelligence for business students in residential and online programs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach courses such as Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Data Visualization and Applied AI Solution Development Systems; some courses have an experiential learning component with an external client partner.
• Maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status through peer-reviewed publications, presentations and other professional development consistent with AACSB accreditation.
• Mentor students and accept departmental, college and university service assignments.

Required profile

• Professing Christian and willingness to support the Christian mission of ACU, due to its affiliation with the fellowship of the Churches of Christ.
• Earned doctorate (completed or near completion) in operations management, information systems, data analytics, artificial intelligence, business management or a related field.
• Strong record of relevant research and/or professional experience, and proven or promising college/university teaching experience.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
