Open Rank Professor - Accounting (Tenure-Track)

About the role

Abilene Christian University (ACU) is hiring an Open Rank Professor in Accounting on a tenure-track basis, with a start date of Fall 2027. The rank depends on experience and qualifications. The position teaches undergraduate and graduate accounting courses to students in a residential program, with some online options.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses in a residential program, with some online options.
• Maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status through peer-reviewed publications, presentations and other professional development consistent with AACSB accreditation.
• Mentor students and accept departmental, college and university service assignments.

Required profile

• Because ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Churches of Christ, the position requires a professing Christian who is willing to support the university's Christian mission.
• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in accounting (ABD status also considered).
• Expertise in one or more accounting areas such as audit, financial, cost, accounting information systems, analytics or controllership.
• Strong record of relevant research and/or professional experience, and proven college or university teaching experience or strong promise in teaching.
