About the role

The Oncology Nurse Navigator supports patients throughout their cancer journey, coordinating care, providing education, and ensuring seamless communication between multidisciplinary teams at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Guide oncology patients through diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up phases.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and services across clinical departments.
• Provide education on disease process, treatment options, and supportive resources.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Document patient interactions and outcomes in the electronic health record.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse credential.
• Experience in oncology or cancer care navigation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
