Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Onsite in Misawa, Japan

About the role
Arcetyp LLC is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care to service members and their families at the Misawa Air Base in Japan. The role is full‑time, onsite and supports the Air Force medical readiness mission.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver primary care and patient management as the Primary Care Manager for an assigned panel.
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including history and physical examinations for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory studies, X‑rays, and other imaging procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence‑based guidelines.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with the Air Force Formulary.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, including wound care, skin biopsies, and joint injections.
- Provide women’s health services, routine gynecological exams, and family planning counseling where within scope.
- Provide pediatric care, including well‑child exams, immunizations, and treatment of common childhood illnesses where within scope.
- Address behavioral health concerns and coordinate referrals to mental health professionals.
- Coordinate patient care with specialists and other healthcare providers.
- Monitor and manage Individual Medical Readiness metrics, including immunizations, Preventative Health Assessments, Mental Health Assessments, and dental readiness.
- Conduct health assessments and pre‑deployment screenings to ensure deployability of service members.
Required profile
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Willing and able to work onsite in Misawa, Japan.
- Eligible to work without H‑1B sponsorship.
- Familiarity with military‑specific healthcare requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to serve as Primary Care Manager and maintain medical readiness of the patient population.
Required skills
