North America Payroll Partner

About the role

Alfa Laval is looking for a North America Payroll Partner to own end‑to‑end payroll administration for the United States and Canada. The role ensures accurate, timely payroll processing, compliance with federal, state, provincial and local regulations, and continuous improvement of payroll operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle payroll for all U.S. and Canadian employees, including hires, terminations, transfers and compensation changes.
• Validate payroll transactions, perform audits, reconciliations and post‑payroll checks to guarantee data accuracy.
• Administer payroll tax filings, deposits, year‑end reporting (W‑2, T4, RL‑1) and statutory deductions such as wage garnishments.
• Prepare and submit Canadian Records of Employment (ROEs) and handle related employee status changes.
• Conduct ongoing audits between payroll, HRIS, time‑keeping and finance systems to maintain data integrity.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for ADP Workforce Now, optimizing system settings and interfaces.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive payroll administration experience in both the United States and Canada.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. payroll tax regulations and Canadian payroll legislation.
• Proven experience handling wage garnishments, tax levies and child‑support orders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
