Night Shift Production Supervisor – Conversion

About the role

Join Celgard’s 24/7 manufacturing site in Concord, NC as a Night Shift Production Supervisor overseeing the Conversion area. You will lead a team of Manufacturing Technicians on a 12‑hour shift (6 pm – 6 am) and ensure safe, efficient production of battery separator components.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all operational aspects of the Deploy, Slitting, Testing, Pack‑Out, and Backwinding processes.
• Lead behavior‑based safety initiatives and enforce safe work practices.
• Plan, organize, and schedule manpower, equipment, and resources within policy and budget constraints.
• Hire, onboard, and train new or transferred employees.
• Monitor production metrics to control cost, material usage, and machine downtime.
• Address performance issues, troubleshoot yield problems, and drive equipment utilization.
• Maintain shift reports, audit ERP data, and ensure compliance with SOPs/SOCs.
• Promote continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred in a related field).
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proven supervisory experience with direct‑report responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Operating Conditions (SOC).
• Ability to analyze production data and drive process improvements.
