New Business Case Manager – Disability Insurance (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Remote New Business Case Manager to act as the critical link between clients, underwriters, and the sales team for disability insurance applications. The role ensures accurate, timely policy issuance while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality checks, research, and process new disability insurance applications, verifying complete documentation.
• Maintain organized records of applications, communications, and underwriting decisions.
• Provide timely updates to clients, brokers, and agents and address their inquiries.
• Collaborate with underwriters to assess risk, determine policy terms, and recommend necessary medical evaluations.
• Monitor case status throughout underwriting, follow up on outstanding requirements, and ensure policies are issued in compliance with guidelines.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree with 1‑3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to work a Pacific Time Zone schedule.
• Insurance experience strongly preferred; OnBase experience a plus.
• Proactive, independent, with strong time‑management and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using OnBase document management system (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
