Network Administrator

About the role

As a Network Administrator at Venus Aerospace, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the enterprise network infrastructure that powers our engineering, manufacturing, and business operations. Working closely with other IT professionals, you will help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the organization’s network environment across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, VLANs, link aggregation, Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, and site‑to‑site VPNs.
• Install, terminate, test, label, and maintain copper and fiber cabling, patch panels, network racks, and related physical infrastructure.
• Implement network changes and infrastructure improvements while independently managing smaller networking projects.
• Maintain centralized network configuration management systems and ensure configuration consistency across devices.
• Monitor network health, performance, and availability using monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively resolve issues.
• Provide Tier 2/3 network support for escalated IT issues, working directly with users to troubleshoot connectivity problems.
• Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management activities to keep the network secure and reliable.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in network administration or support, preferably in multi‑site environments.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, subnetting, and firewall concepts.
• Experience with centralized network configuration management, monitoring, and alerting platforms.
• Proven ability to create and maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
