N1 AMHS Equipment Technician

About the role

NXP is hiring an N1 AMHS Equipment Technician in Austin, Texas, to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the ATMC AMHS Equipment area. The role covers maintenance, repair, upgrades and monitoring of AMHS equipment such as PRI 7000 and Turbo Stockers, PRI Guardian Reticle Stockers, PRI Aerotrak systems and Daifuku parts management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, upgrade and monitor AMHS equipment, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance, consumable changes and other activities supporting the area's success
• Complete documentation and train others on equipment maintenance
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and interact with Operations and Engineering personnel

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry; equivalent education and experience may be acceptable
• Specific knowledge of maintenance job functions; minimum 5 years in the Metrology/Defect area
• AA degree in Electronics or a related discipline and 5 years of technical maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination
• Physical ability to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours) and occasionally stoop or crawl in confined spaces, and to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds

Required skills

• Solid understanding of SPC and FDC, and ability to use them to improve equipment performance
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interface with internal and external groups to meet safety, performance and reliability requirements
