MySQL Developer – Application Support Engineer

About the role

Accenture Flex is seeking a MySQL Developer to join a project‑based team as an Application Support Engineer. You will work on‑site for most of the week while also enjoying remote days, helping clients keep critical business systems running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex software and database issues across multiple components.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for MySQL performance tuning and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve system design and operational processes.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to colleagues on application support and database management.
• Monitor system health, analyze recurring problems and propose preventive measures.
• Support the team in decision‑making and contribute to continuous improvement of support strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with MySQL.
• Advanced proficiency in MySQL performance tuning and optimization.
• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Ability to work onsite 60% of the time and remotely 40%.
