Municipal Law Attorney (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Municipal Law Attorney to join our Sacramento‑based firm on a hybrid schedule. The attorney will provide high‑quality counsel and representation to public agencies, including cities and special districts, across a range of municipal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise public agencies on complex issues such as land use, contracts, and governance.
• Draft, review, and revise ordinances, resolutions, and policies to ensure compliance with state and federal law.
• Represent clients at administrative hearings, city council meetings, and planning commission sessions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and agency staff to develop innovative legal solutions.
• Deliver training sessions on relevant legal topics, e.g., AB 1234 compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum five (5) years of practice in municipal, public agency, or related law.
• Member in good standing of the California State Bar.
• Strong research, analytical, and written/oral communication abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing projects independently and within a team.
