Mobile Engineer (iOS / Android)

About the role

The Mobile Engineer will design, build and maintain native iOS and Android applications, delivering polished user interfaces, reliable APIs, local data layers and telemetry. Working closely with product, design and backend teams, you will ensure high performance, accessibility and stability across both platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship production features for iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) with focus on performance and platform conventions.
• Design mobile architecture for networking, local persistence, authentication, state management and analytics using REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to translate requirements into testable, high‑quality mobile experiences.
• Improve reliability by profiling startup time, memory, battery usage and crash data with Instruments, Android Profiler and Crashlytics.
• Create unit, integration and UI tests; maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, signing, distribution and release validation (Fastlane or equivalent).
• Review code, document decisions and help establish reusable components, coding standards and release practices.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues using logs, metrics, remote configuration and staged rollouts on the App Store and Google Play.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping iOS and/or Android applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to make pragmatic architecture decisions around modularization, dependency injection, state management and shared code.

Required skills

• Swift and SwiftUI/UIKit.
• Kotlin and Jetpack Compose/Android Views.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication and secure local storage.
• Mobile testing frameworks such as XCTest, XCTest UI, Espresso, XCUITest.
• CI/CD tools like Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions.
• Profiling and observability tools (Instruments, Android Profiler, Crashlytics).
