Middleware/Kafka Engineer – Richardson, TX

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Middleware/Kafka Engineer to join its Financial Services unit in Richardson, Texas. The role focuses on supporting client infrastructure, resolving incidents, and contributing to the design and deployment of scalable middleware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and document preventive recommendations.
• Evaluate client IT infrastructure, prepare assessment reports and support due‑diligence activities.
• Design cost‑effective, scalable infrastructure solutions and develop technical documentation for deployed systems.
• Coordinate release schedules, execute deployments, conduct post‑deployment testing and manage version control.
• Maintain maintenance schedules, emergency fixes and technology upgrades while ensuring seamless integration.
• Analyze performance data, provide insights on system behavior and support capacity planning.
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills and compliance audits, implementing security measures and continuity plans.
• Identify automation opportunities, analyze existing processes and propose efficiency enhancements.

Required profile

• Experience in infrastructure consulting or similar roles within IT services.
• Strong analytical skills for incident resolution and performance analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional and client teams.
