About the role
Delaware County Christian School athletics is seeking an energetic and committed Middle School Boys Basketball C Coach to begin in late fall 2026. Candidates should have a passion for basketball, value sportsmanship and safety, and be dedicated to developing athletes both on and off the court while upholding the school’s Christian values.
Key responsibilities
- Run daily practices anytime between 3:00‑7:00 pm.
- Develop rosters, create game plans, and oversee their execution.
- Drive the team van to practices and games as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Faith aligned with the school’s Statement of Faith.
- Ability to communicate a Christian view of athletics.
- Knowledge of basketball skills and techniques and ability to teach 9th‑grade athletes.
- Capability to plan and execute team practices.
- Ability to organize and coach the team on game days.
- High school, college or professional basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
