Mid-Level to Senior Litigation Associate – General Liability

About the role

Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Litigation Associate to join its General Liability team. The attorney will represent business owners, landlords, managing agents, and security services organizations in a variety of general liability matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute litigation strategy for general liability defenses.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court, depositions, hearings, and conferences.
• Interact with medical experts and conduct legal and medical research.
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain client communication throughout cases.

Required profile

• Admission to practice law in New York.
• At least 3 years of experience in personal injury or comparable litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and resolve problems quickly.
