M/E/P Manager

About the role

The M/E/P Manager provides technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering. Serving as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, the role identifies constructability issues, contributes to project schedules, oversees commissioning and supports the delivery of MEP/FP systems across all phases of construction. The position reports to the Director of M/E/P Services and includes supervisory duties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide MEP/FP technical oversight from preconstruction through closeout.
• Review and coordinate MEP/FP design documents for constructability and system integration.
• Take part in design and coordination meetings with consultants, owners and project teams.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals, scopes of work and prequalification packages.
• Monitor MEP construction progress against plans, specifications and code requirements.
• Support MEP schedule and sequencing development with project teams.
• Review and track MEP submittals, RFIs and change orders.
• Coordinate field inspections, startup and testing and commissioning of MEP/FP systems, working with commissioning agents.
• Troubleshoot MEP system issues with subcontractors.
• Assist in evaluating cost impacts, value engineering options and project risks.
• Mentor project team members and field personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry.
• 5+ years of experience with M/E/P design, commissioning and construction.
