Member of Technical Staff, Survival Analysis

About the role

Ataraxis AI is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to lead research and development of novel survival analysis methods that power its precision‑medicine products. You will work at the intersection of multi‑modal AI and clinical data, turning cutting‑edge machine‑learning research into production‑ready tools that help physicians predict patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate innovative survival analysis algorithms.
• Translate state‑of‑the‑art ML papers into robust, production‑grade code.
• Build and maintain model evaluation frameworks for clinical datasets.
• Co‑author research papers, abstracts, and internal technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and clinicians across a multidisciplinary team.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their growth.

Required profile

• PhD in machine learning, statistics, or a closely related field.
• Strong publication record in top AI conferences (ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, CVPR) or leading statistics journals.
• Deep understanding of survival analysis and core machine‑learning concepts.
• Attention to detail and ability to drive research tasks to completion.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• PyTorch deep‑learning framework.
• Experience with deep learning, self‑supervised and multi‑modal learning.
• Knowledge of domain adaptation, causal inference, model interpretability, and computational pathology (bonus).
• Solid foundation in statistics, linear algebra, and probability.
