Medical Science Liaison, GI – Blue Ridge

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Gastro‑Intestinal (GI) will serve the Blue Ridge territory, covering Louisville, Lexington and surrounding areas. As the scientific bridge between Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines and healthcare professionals, the MSL provides balanced, non‑promotional scientific information and supports investigator‑initiated studies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and prioritized medical objectives.
• Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders in the community and academic settings to enhance scientific credibility.
• Conduct two‑way scientific exchanges, delivering data‑driven insights and tailored presentations to HCPs.
• Collect, synthesize, and share actionable insights on clinical, scientific and competitive trends.
• Support investigators and internal partners on company‑sponsored and investigator‑initiated studies, ensuring compliance with policies.

Required profile

• Doctorate‑level degree (PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent) with post‑graduate experience; therapeutic‑area clinical experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 + years of relevant experience, preferably in an MSL role.
• Willingness to travel up to 70 % of the time within the territory and hold a valid US driver’s license.
