Medical Reimbursement Specialist

About the role

Join Atos Medical, a Coloplast company, as a Medical Reimbursement Specialist supporting patients with neck stoma care. You will manage billing, claims and insurance coordination to ensure timely reimbursement for our products.

Key responsibilities

• Print, review, and enter invoices and patient insurance details into claims software; submit primary, secondary and tertiary claims.
• Contact insurers to verify claim status, resolve denials, and process EOBs; prepare appeals and contractual write‑offs.
• Maintain accurate billing files, patient insurance records, and ensure compliance with Medicare, HIPAA and departmental policies.
• Provide courteous assistance to patients and clinicians, collaborate with Customer Service teams, and generate billing activity reports.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of medical billing or related healthcare experience.
• Strong customer focus with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to review complex billing information, resolve discrepancies independently, and coordinate with multiple departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using billing software such as Brightree.
• Ability to work with database and billing applications.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic mathematics.
