About the role

Dermatology Associates of West Michigan is looking for a friendly, dependable Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Assistant to be the first point of contact for patients and support the daily operations of a busy dermatology office.

Key responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors, manage check‑in and check‑out processes.
Schedule appointments using the office’s scheduling system and coordinate changes with providers.
Answer phones, provide office and provider information, and verify patient demographics and insurance.
Collect copays, process payments, balance the till and generate batch reports.
Maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area while safeguarding patient information per HIPAA policies.

Required profile

High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Two years of customer‑service or front‑desk experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.

Required skills

Proficiency with scheduling software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers and scanners.
