Medical Information Specialist – Nurse

About the role

The Medical Information Specialist (MIS) provides accurate medical and safety information to consumers, healthcare professionals, and other external customers on behalf of ProPharma’s pharmaceutical clients. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies while handling adverse event reporting and product complaints.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to unsolicited medical and safety inquiries via phone, email, fax, letter, website, and scientific meetings.
• Provide labeled and unlabeled information using approved labeling, standard responses, published literature, and other data sources.
• Identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints in accordance with regulations and SOPs.
• Log all inquiries accurately and timely in the Inquiry Handling System.
• Perform quality checks on adverse event reports, product complaints, and correspondence.
• Provide after‑hours coverage on a rotating basis as required.
• Adhere to privacy, data protection, health and safety, and company policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse or equivalent nursing qualification.
• Experience in medical information, pharmacovigilance, or related healthcare communication.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures for medical information and adverse event reporting.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
