Media Assistant

About the role

WalletHub, the personal finance app, is looking for a Media Assistant to join its international team. The role is fully remote, with a 50-hour week, Monday to Friday (7 AM - 6 PM ET, 1-hour break). Candidates must have excellent English.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with reporters, editors, producers and media outlets, and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Draft commentaries, quotes and written responses on personal finance topics such as credit, consumer debt, healthcare and education.
• Book and coordinate interviews between journalists and the media team, including scheduling, briefing materials and follow-ups.
• Maintain and update media contact lists and correspondence records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English or a related field.
• Prior experience in media relations, PR, journalism or communications is preferred but not mandatory.
• Interest in personal finance, economics or current affairs is a plus.

• Excellent writing and editing skills, producing clear, concise copy under tight deadlines.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple requests and schedules.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
