Mechanical Superintendent

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to lead the mechanical discipline on the Port Arthur LNG project in Texas. The role involves overseeing a large team of craft professionals and subordinate superintendents, ensuring that all mechanical work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the activities of 50‑100 craft personnel and subordinate superintendents.
• Coordinate subcontractor work and ensure compliance with project policies, procedures, and site rules.
• Manage work schedules, tool and equipment availability, and resource allocation.
• Monitor performance against specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Facilitate team development and maintain a productive work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical teams on large‑scale industrial or LNG projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety and quality standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
