Mechanical Installer – 100% Travel

About the role

Dematic is looking for a Mechanical Installation Foreman to work on various customer projects across the United States. The role requires 100% travel to customer sites and involves installing and maintaining conveyor and structural steel systems.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned mechanical installation tasks safely and to high quality standards under site supervision.
• Support the site supervisor and foreman, following directions and ensuring project timelines are met.
• Travel to customer locations nationwide and perform physical tasks such as lifting at least 50 lb, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, and walking on construction sites.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or specialized training preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience installing or maintaining conveyor equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Conveyor system layout and component pre‑assembly.
• Header steel installation, platform and structural steel erection.
• Conveyor installation, guard rail, rack, air piping, detailing and run‑in of installed equipment.
