About the role
The Mechanical Analysis team within Moog's Space & Defense Group is seeking a spring‑block intern. The position is onsite in Elma, NY, supporting mechanical analysis activities.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation and execution of core mechanical analysis engineering tasks.
- Provide technical support to Space & Defense groups across the United States.
- Perform finite element, stress, thermal, fatigue, and CFD analyses, as well as 3‑D modeling and data reporting.
- Validate conceptual solutions through trade studies and analytical studies.
- Assist mechanical testing and correlate analytical models with test results.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited university.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (as specified by the department).
- Eligibility to access U.S. export‑controlled information and ability to relocate for the internship duration.
