Mechanic – Utilities Operations

About the role

Join Nestlé’s manufacturing team in Anderson, where you will help keep the plant’s utility systems running safely and efficiently. You’ll work with advanced technologies supporting products such as Nesquik, Coffee‑mate and Starbucks, while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain facility utility systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration, and water treatments.
• Manage compressed air systems, reverse‑osmosis units, and silo tank offloads.
• Oversee cooling tower water treatment and pH neutralization.
• Support fire protection and energy‑management programs.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 2‑year technical degree in HVAC/Applied Science or equivalent (preferred).
• At least 1 year of utilities operations experience with boilers, compressed air, or ammonia refrigeration and ability to pass medical and respirator tests.

Required skills

• Boiler, Wastewater or Ammonia Refrigeration certifications.
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Computer proficiency for logging and research.
