MDP New Product Introduction Instructor (E3)

About the role

The MDP New Product Introduction (NPI) Instructor will act as both a technical expert and classroom trainer for new semiconductor equipment. Based in Austin, TX (or Santa Clara, CA), you will learn emerging tools, develop training curricula, and certify instructors as products move to volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver New Product Introduction (NPI) technical training both in‑house and at customer sites, including domestic and international travel.
• Learn and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of new semiconductor tools, develop course materials, and certify instructors.
• Manage classroom and lab activities, ensure safety procedures, and coordinate on‑the‑job training.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and global technical training teams to create and update documentation and curricula.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, training or equivalent military experience.
• At least 4 years of professional experience with semiconductor equipment installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Experience delivering live distance learning and instructor‑led hands‑on training.

Required skills

• Mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting of semiconductor tools.
• Robotics, programmable controllers, power supplies, pneumatics, vacuum and high‑voltage systems.
• Use of hand tools, measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Instructional design and development of training curricula and technical documentation.
