Material Handler

About the role

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to store, ship, receive, and replenish finished goods for fire sprinkler contractors using parcel, LTL, truckload, or private carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all shipping and receiving tasks in the distribution center, including scanning barcodes with a handheld scanner.
• Operate forklifts, lift trucks, side loaders, pallet trucks, and pickers safely and complete daily equipment inspection reports.
• Assist Will‑Call customers courteously and report inventory, equipment, or safety issues to supervisors.
• Report backorders to the Customer Service Department and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma and at least 6 months of warehouse experience.
• Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse, stand for most of the shift, and lift items up to 70 lb.
• Willingness to wear required safety gear such as steel‑toe shoes, safety glasses, and a harness when needed.

Required skills

• Forklift operation
• Lift truck, side loader, pallet truck, and picker operation
• Barcode scanning with handheld devices
• Proficiency in AS400 and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
